
Joseph Cameratta founded his Cameratta Properties in 1978. Since then, Mr. Cameratta's vision and work ethic have been the driving force behind his company's continued success. For more than 30 years, he has acquired raw land in strategic locations, master-planned his vision for a development, secured entitlements required to develop the property, developed the property, and then sold the finished real estate product. Mr. Cameratta's finished products include almost all real estate asset classes including residential lots, homes, high rise condos, apartments, office buildings, retail shopping centers, and private country clubs with championship golf courses, recreation facilities, and banquet facilities. He now acts as a consultant to Cameratta Companies.
Ray Blacksmith joined Cameratta in 1990 to oversee engineering and construction. His position quickly evolved to include assisting in selection of new projects, pre-acquisition due diligence, conceptual land planning, and development cost estimation, project team selection and acting as liaison between the company and the project engineers, architects, contractors and other professional services. In 1995, Blacksmith was named President. Blacksmith and CP founder Joe Cameratta have personally handled the governmental presentations and approvals of all Cameratta Properties developments. Prior to joining CP, Blacksmith was the chief draftsman, designer and land planner for a civil engineering firm that consulted with various municipalities around northeast Ohio.
In 1996 Blacksmith received a Resolution of Appreciation from the City of Broadview Heights, Ohio for his involvement in 'Task Force 21', a resident member committee formed to analyze the future development potential of the city. He was later appointed to a seat on that city's City Council and subsequently won election to the seat for additional terms.
In 2010 Blacksmith was selected to participate in the Cuyahoga County Government Transition Committee.
Dominic Cameratta is Chief Financial Officer. As CFO, Dominic is responsible for all financial aspects of the company including financial accounting, budgeting, and tax planning. Before becoming CFO, Dominic worked as corporate controller for the company and he worked as an Audit Intern at Ernst & Young L.P. (Boston, MA).
Dominic graduated from Saint Ignatius High School (Cleveland, OH) in 1997 and then went on to attend Boston College (Chestnut Hill, MA) where he graduated with nbsp;a B.S. in Accounting and Finance in 2001.
Nick Cameratta joined Cameratta Properties full-time in 2000, and in 2010 he started Cameratta Companies. He has been involved in the design and construction of several award winning projects, and has been responsible for the coordination of project design, construction, sales, and marketing, as well as managing the project team for each project. He also maintains budgets and controls the overhead costs for all projects.
Nick is a Certified General Contractor licensed in the State of Florida and attended the University of Toledo (Ohio), where he studied Construction Engineering.
Tony joined the family business in 2004. He is a Civil Engineer that deals with engineering and land related issues. His experience in the field includes expertise in construction, surveying, materials, and agriculture. Most recently, Tony has been managing all aspects of the land in DeSoto County, Florida. This includes all of the agricultural operations, compliance of all of the permits for the property, and assists any of the consultants hired to perform necessary studies associated with the development approvals. Away from Cameratta Properties, Tony enjoys fishing, boating, and horseback riding.
Stacy Corban joined Cameratta Properties in 2000 as a Financial Analyst. She coordinates and oversees daily accounts payable/accounts receivable activity, maintains all data, and provides extensive reports and information as requested from the accounting and management departments. Prior to joining Cameratta Properties, Stacy was an executive secretary and computer assistant at the NASA Glenn Research Center. in this position she earned the Certified Professional Secretary (CPS) rating.
Colleen has been with Cameratta since 2005 and is the Operations/Accounts Manager and the Office Manager for the Florida office. At CP Interiors, Colleen is in charge of overseeing numerous vendor accounts, including payables and receivables, placing and tracking orders, keeping accurate customer records, and being the intermediary between the corporate office and the designer. Colleen also assists in the overall design process for clients and models. Her other responsibilities with Cameratta include managing the day to day operations of the Florida office. Prior to Cameratta, Colleen got her Bachelor of Science in Fashion Merchandising from Kent State University and studied abroad in Florence, Italy. Away from Cameratta Properties, Colleen enjoys traveling, dining out, and most of all playing with her dog.
Laura has been with Cameratta since 2007 and specializes in guiding homebuyers through the selection and home buying process.
Prior to joining Cameratta, she honed her expertise in the design industry with Robb & Stucky. Laura attended Edison Community College; her field of study was Interior Design. Away from Cameratta, Laura enjoys time with her son Logan.
Cheryl has been with Cameratta since 2004 and specifically deals with marketing and sales. Her experience in the field includes expertise in assisting in all levels of the development process. Most recently, Cheryl has been involved with all of the marketing efforts for High Point Place and First Street Village, as well as administration of sales for each project. Cheryl is a licensed Florida Realtor and Notary Public. Prior to Cameratta Properties, Cheryl developed her expertise at Miami University in Ohio.
